Oh The Urbanity! traverses cities by foot, bike, and public transit and aims to make informative and (hopefully) entertaining videos combining streetscapes and demographic data. We are based in Montreal but enjoy exploring other cities and highlighting urbanist projects and endeavours.

City Beautiful is a YouTube channel dedicated to educating everyone about cities and city planning. Cities are amazing! I cover topics such as transportation, land use planning, and urban design. I post new videos regularly.

Connecting transportation industry experts with the general public

Streetfilms produces short films showing how smart transportation design and policy can result in better places to live, work and play. Founded in 2006, Streetfilms has become the go-to organization for educational films about sustainable transportation, and inspires action and behavioral change worldwide. Individuals, public agencies, non-profit organizations, schools, and transportation advocacy groups use Streetfilms to educate decision makers and make change for livable streets in their communities.

CityNerd is a channel and community that embraces all things cities and transportation, approaching things with a profound love for urban environments and an analytical bent. The channel was born out of my frustration over the limited scope of things I was able to explore and share as a transportation planning and engineering consultant. Soon after starting the channel, I was shocked/delighted by the number of viewers who were enthusiastic about the topics I was covering. Quickly, I had more video ideas than I knew what to do with! (Still do.) Every aspect of CityNerd is currently produced by yours truly (Ray Delahanty). Research, writing, on-camera “talent” (cough cough), editing, engaging with viewers….yeah, it’s all me. I’ll update this description just as soon as I hire a crack team of researchers and cinematographers.

Profiling people-oriented places that create a culture of activity for all ages & abilities In 2012, I launched the non-profit Advocates for Healthy Communities as an effort to help promote and create healthy, active places. Since that time I’ve been exploring, documenting, and profiling established, emerging, and aspiring Active Towns wherever they might be. The goal is simple: produce high-quality multimedia content to help inspire the creation of more safe and inviting, environments that promote a “Culture of Activity” for “All Ages & Abilities”.
